Kai Kai Salim, Director, Writer: While attending the University of Texas at Austin Radio, Television and Film Program, Kai was honored with the Randy Kelleher Endowed Scholarship in Film and accepted into the University of Texas Film Institute Conservatory, a professional/educational workshop for writers, directors and producers. He’s recently worked for HBO and has had several short films play both nationally and internationally.
Chris Chris Kajander, Writer: Chris first published his short stories and poetry in local magazines and newspapers while in high school. Chris began his formal training by studying Literature at the University of Texas at Austin where he wrote under the guidance of authors Elizabeth Harris and Zulfiker Ghose.
John John Estrada, Associate Producer: John is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin holding both a bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television-Film as well as Government. John’s short documentary, Green Collar Jobs, won funding through POV and WGBH’s Election 2008 contest. His short narrative, Taco! Taco! Taco!, was produced and presented by HBO and the New York International Latino Film Festival. John works as a Junior Producer at LatinWorks in Austin, Texas producing television and radio commercials for the Hispanic market.
Autumn Autumn Leonard, Co-Producer: Autumn has worked in theater and film for the past nine years. Original plays include Up In A Place Like This and Snap Peas. She programmed for the International Festival of Arts and Ideas and directed the Edge Fringe Festival. She has been the creative coordinator for United for a Fair Economy, The Ruckus Society and SEIU. At Yale University she was awarded the Bates Scholar Award for her study of religion and social performance in India.
Hector Hector Gonzalez, Producer: Hector graduated with honors from Holy Cross of San Antonio where he made his first film A Choice to Be Made. The short went on to win first place in several high schools competitions and in addition was selected by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s 25th annual CineFestival and by the Archdiocese of San Antonio to screen at gatherings and on it’s television station.
Team_Norm Lieder Norm Lieder, Line Producer: Norman founded The Student Film Collaborative and started work as the Master Control Operator at KVR-TV, the only FCC licensed television station in the country that is run and operated exclusively by students at the University of Texas at Austin. While still at the University, he coordinate dozens of live productions featuring the talents of The Texas Governor and Lt. Governor, Molly Ivins, Jim Lehrer, Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein, Maureen Dowd, Kinky Friedman, UT president William Powers, and Nobel Laureate, Steven Weinberg.
Team_Angus Cann Angus Cann, Producer: Angus has worked on over thirty short films, music videos and for industrial media firms. He studied film at Antioch College before moving to Austin where he shoots and directs video production at Whole Foods Markets’ Whole Foods Market University (WFM-U). During his stint at WFM-U, Angus has provided his cinematic eye and overseen the production of multiple instructional videos based in South America and Texas, which are used company wide for its more than 25,000 employees worldwide. His music video projects include, Big Blue Hearts, Young Blood, Eliza Wren, Castanets, Super Zero and Houston rapper Trae.
Team_Keith Frasse Keith Frasse, Editor: Keith has spent a considerable amount of time engulfed in apprenticeships on both short and feature length films working along side such filmmakers as Terrence Malick on The Tree of Life. While earning a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin Keith was part of a select group chosen into the University Film Institute Conservatory, where he edited selected scenes of feature films being work shopped by production teams.
Team_Josh Robins Josh Robins, Composer: Josh currently fronts Austin’s Invincible Czars – A rock group that rated 4th under “Best Experimental Band” at the 2006 Austin Music Awards and gained a great deal of attention for their renditions of actual classical music such as Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker Suite and Mussorgsky’s A Night on Bald Mountain. In 2006 Josh performed the music to Richard Linklater’s A Scanner Darkly and subsequently was recruited to perform on a number of other projects including Alex Jones’ Terrorstorm which features Josh’s crushing Les Paul prominently throughout.
Team_Chuck Mulford Chuck Mulford, Producer: Chuck came to Austin in 2001 to study film at the University of Texas. After graduating in 2006 with a BS in Radio-Television-Film, he decided he loved this city far too much to relocate. He has been producing films for over three years, with ten shorts and one feature under his belt. He continues to be active on the Austin film scene with two films that had their world premiere at the Austin Film Festival for the second year in a row.
Team_Mike Wainwright Mike Wainwright, Co-Producer: After receiving an education in Audio Engineering and sound editing, Mike went on to work at Hububashu films as a writer, editor and producer. Mike co-authored a feature screenplay titled Shifty Positions, which is currently being considered for optioning. In 2007 he founded the successful Novelty Band/Bluegrass Comedy act Clyde and Clem’s Whiskey Business, and is currently overseeing production of their debut album at Arlen Studios. His most recent project has been the co-founding of Big Fancy Productions, which has served as a marketing, event planning, booking and merchandising hub for Whiskey Business and a number of local musicians, artists, filmmakers, animators and sound engineers.
publicist_melyssa_prince Melyssa Prince, Publicist: Melyssa is a public relations professional with more than 10 years of experience. She holds a bachelor of arts in public relations and a master of arts in communication from the University of Texas at Arlington. Melyssa currently works as a marketing manager in the retail industry, serves as a part-time college lecturer and is the owner of Targeted Positioning, a professional writing and editing firm. She lives in Fort Worth with her precocious Pomeranian, Tootsie.
Team_Nikki Boudreaux_2 Nikki Boudreaux, Artistic Consultant: After graduating from Texas Woman’s University, Nikki focused her artistic talents in music, photography, writing and artistic direction. She has been in over 37 short narratives, and musical comedy sketches. Also known as “nikkiboo”, has released two singles, Hold On and White Lies, through independent labels. She is actively working with production companies, in both NYC and Austin, where she pursues music production and management.
Team_Alexis Puchek Alexis Puchek, Multimedia & Design Director: While attending the University of Texas at Austin, Alexis initiated a number of web and visual design projects for various campus organizations. Since graduating from the Radio, Television and Film program as a Dean’s Dozen recipient, Alexis currently works as a UI Designer at PayPal while continuing to pursue freelance design.
Domagoj Barisic, Web Developer: Domagoj is a freelance programmer and web developer working remotely with clients from around the world, consulting and building their online businesses. He is mostly self-educated while a degree in Computer Graphics at the University of Technology, Zagreb.
Team_Djurdjica Selec Djurdjica Selec, web designer: Djurdjica is a freelance web designer and illustrator. She works with businesses and individuals to create their web identity. She studied English in college before shifting to design and visual arts, where she learned painting techniques under the mentorship of prof. Emil Robert Tanay.
